BBC Breakfast's Carol Kirkwood has taken a shock swipe at her ex husband in a rare comment about the former relationship.
The weather presenter, 62, tied the knot at Cliveden House last December with her second husband policeman Steve Randall, 49, - who is 13 years her junior.
She was previously married to property developer Jimmy Kirkwood from 1990 to 2008 when they separated.
But now in an unlikely comment she has told The Times: 'Love is lovelier the second time around. No disrespect to my first husband, but this is better.'
The cheeky comment came as a rare comment about her past love life as Carol has never previously spoken about her divorce or the reasons she went down that path.

In December 2023 she shared a glimpse at their wedding day on social media much to fans' delight.
She said: 'It was the most perfect and romantic and intimate wedding. We are both so incredibly happy.'
In snaps from their big day, Carol stunned in an off-the-shoulder gown with a dramatic skirt as she posed for snaps with her husband Steve.
She wrote on social media: 'Thank you so much for all your lovely messages. We had the most perfect day.
'It was a tiny wedding but so romantic and intimate. A day we will never forget. We are bursting with happiness. It wasn't a ''secret'' wedding, just a private one.'
Carol had previously shared that she and Steve were hoping for an 'intimate' wedding, telling The Mirror: 'We're very happy and we're loved up, and we're delighted to be together but we haven't got a wedding date yet.
'I think we'll have an intimate wedding, we don't want to just squeeze it in, we want it to be a celebration.'
The presenter started out her career as the BBC's secretarial reserve in London. After a series of internal moves, she covered presenting slots and BBC Radio Scotland, and then BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 4.

Her and Steve first announced their engagement in May 2022, with Carol proudly showing off her diamond ring at the Chelsea Flower Show
After marrying Jimmy, Carol left the BBC to work in recruitment, but rejoined the BBC in 1993 as a freelance presenter, during which time she also presented a bi-monthly programme Talking Issues for HTV West.
Three years later, the BBC Breakfast star joined The Weather Channel, but after it closed down she underwent training under the guidance of the BBC at the Met Office, before joining BBC News in April 1998 as a weather presenter.
She has since appeared regularly across all of BBC Weather's output on both radio and television and is the main weather presenter on BBC Breakfast.
Earlier this week sheswiped 'I'm really disappointed' over StrictlyCome Dancing's ongoing scandal on Thursday and admitted that she no longer watches the show.
In recent weeks, Strictly has been embroiled in accusations abouttheir professional dancers bullyingand abusing their celebrity partners.
The scandal erupted in January when actress Amanda Abbingtonaccused her Strictly partner Giovanni Perniceof abuse after she unexpectedly quit the programme just five weeks in.
Then, in July, it emerged that Graziano Di Prima had been sacked from Strictly for 'kicking' his partner, Love Island star Zara McDermott.
Scottish meteorologist Carol appeared on BBC reality show Strictly Come Dancing in 2015, and was partnered with Pasha Kovalev.
She told the Daily Expresson Thursday: 'Yes [I'm surprised], I'm really disappointed as well, they're doing the right thing by investigating all these claims.'
Carol said she 'loved' her time on the show with her 'lovely' dance partner Pasha, 38, who now appears on Dancing With The Stars.
The presenter also said she didn't experience or hear of any problems from her fellow hopefuls at the time.
But, she empathised: 'I know too much and I know what they're going through with the nerves ... You're looking for the nearest fire escape to get out of there because you're consumed by nerves, so I haven't watched it for a long time.'

On an episode of the Off Air... With Jane And Fipodcast, which aired in July, Carol added of her Strictly experience: 'I loved it.I found the Saturday evening absolutely nerve-racking, but the experience, especially the training with Pasha, was my favourite bit.
'He was so patient, so kind, I would say, "I can't do this" and he'd say, "Tomorrow, you'll be able to."
'He was lovely to me, so I've got absolutely no complaints whatsoever. I will never forget it, and I don't regret doing it.'
